Ten Sure Signs I'm Losing Interest in Reading a Book

#1. I take more frequent breaks to play with Franny the Cat.

#2. I'm browsing the Acknowledgements page. Again.

#3. I'm checking the Dedication page. Again.

#4. I'm doing the mental math to figure out how many more pages lie ahead.

#5. My reading specs suddenly need cleaning.

#6. The TV show we have on is more interesting than the page I'm on.

#7. I start skimming or even skipping the paragraphs, even the short ones.

#8. I'm pondering my big weekend plans.

#9. I worry about if readers find my books to be this boring.

#10. I forgot the dang protagonist's name and have to flip back to find it.

Happy reading to you and yours this summer!
