Jake Jaguar

Worse than hunger or thirst, worse than being unemployed, unhappy in love or defeated and in despair, far worse than all those things, is feeling that no one, absolutely no one, cares about us.

Perhaps I slept too much last night. I feel "blah-zay" right now. I will survive. I know. I just dread seeing Paul Margolis at the office. I plan to be nonchalant and act my regular self. After all, I'm no different than before I left.

It was funny to have received fourteen messages while I was away. Two of the phone calls were wrong numbers. The others were mom, Helen, Jim Koran, Tim O'Brien, R.J., Stephanie, Al Martinez and one 'hanger-upper'. That about covered it with the phone calls.

It pisses me off that those who didn't attend my Birthday Party have not called me. Oh well.

I hope I start to feel more energetic as the day progresses.

Paul Margolis had best not give me a bad time. As it turned out, Paul never said one word to me which was fine. He glanced over my way though.

I had lunch with Margaret Lai and B&M Chinese.

I took a nap after work. I received two messages from R.J. (Ron Leoni). He also called me at work. What a neat guy. He's too cool. He'll probably get my letter today. I sent him the Black Cat card a la my alias: "Jake Jaguar".

I may invest by buying stock with JAGUAR, UNITED ARTISTS, BURROUGHS and CITICORP.

I think I got overly excited while I was pedaling on the Life Cycle. My left leg was sore all night long. I didn't sleep well at all.

Mike Miller came over to my place after the gym. We reminisced about how we both like Palm Springs.
Mike said, "I could move there. I'm considering it."

Steve Green telephoned and gave me a bad time while at work. He kept asking about his Residential Account. I tried to explain that I only handle Business Accounts. He is so hyper and a semi-obnoxious one. We'll see. I spoke to him last night and he got off the phone, claiming that he had lots of studying.

Mark Landreth and Dave talked to me for good while at the gym.
Mark said, "Lana sent me a picture from Hawaii."
I replied, "Oh yeah, some gal wants a picture of me, showing my tan line."

I wake every day with an utter determination to have my own way.
Anything could happen for me.
