wonderwomand Please do not rent a car in SF if you are travelling to SF. There are cable cars. There is a streetcar muni train that goes along the Embarcadero to Fisherman's Wharf.

Good advice! And whatever you do, watch out for the 4-6 PM tow away zones downtown!

And if anyone has to drive in SF, be prepared for high parking fees. Please DO NOT leave shopping bags nor purse nor bag in the car. Too many cars have been broken into, according to the police :-(

I agree, Diana ~ well worth the fee! It's too bad all the other lines were done away with. It would be so handy to have them in service now.
