Meander

meander means

to act like a writer

to feel capable of not getting lost

and to have some semblance of a plan

but to change your mind at every turn

and to constantly wonder

if you’re going

the right way

or

you’ve been going in circles

trying to get to the center

of your point

your argument

your thesis

your grand plan

your dom perignon

your oo la la

your peaches and cream

and then you get tired

from being confused

for so long

that you tell yourself you need a rest

when really

you need to keep on going

until

you get the swing of it

and find your home

don’t stop

til’ you get

enough

all night

beat it

quoth the Jackson
