Just Some Random Thoughts
Today (well, tonight) a fan wrote to me. She said, more or less, "Is Elena going to become a vampire again? I'd really like that. Could you tell the ghostwriter to put it into her books?"
I may seriously lose my mind. I can't tell the ghostwriter anything. First, I'm not allowed to. Second, if I were allowed to speak to her, what would I say? I know who she is. I knew her before I chose her as the person to carry the series on after I had written either three or six more books...

I have to tell you that my heart is seriously big and sore for you, right now. To say that I am truly sorry that your books that you've spent so much of your life creating, has been taken from you and just given to someone else that you'd handpicked yourself and you get nothing less than shut out of it all, would be an understatement. I've been following these books and the stories they've had to tell for many years now and as far as I'm concerned, they are YOUR creation and NOBODY else will ever be able to convince me otherwise.

I know how you feel but I so badly want to know what will happen in Strange Fate... I'm torn! Is that the only book they're hiring a ghostwriter for? Or are they going to screw up the rest of them too? I heard there are going to be more Vampire Diaries and another Secret Circle book too. Did I tell you about the Secret Circle TV show coming this fall? Here is a link to the clips, make sure you watch all three. Sorry if I already told you, I don't remember! As a TV show and not related to the books it looks very, very good. Just like TVD as a show is amazing and I'm obsessed with it but the show has nothing to do with the books, they're separate entities and The Secret Circle might be like that as well.
To be honest, I don't think that she's going to be able to write Strange Fate. I think the ghostwriter has gone in and re-written most of Phantom and the sad thing is that L.J. Smith doesn't even get to know anything about it and she doesn't get to talk about it, either. Yet, they get to use her name in little bitty letters on the front cover of the book that says, "created by: l.j. smith." To me, that's got be like a kick in the gut and no amount of how much I want to know what happens next, is going to make me want to buy the books from the ghostwriter unless it's L.J. Smith herself writing them. And I don't see that happening anytime soon, sadly enough.I heard about The Secret Circle being turned into a television series. I was hoping that it would either be Dark Visions or Forbidden Games that got made into a series, but I still think this one is going to be good anyway. I've seen seeing the promo's for it and it looks interesting, so I'll definitely be checking in with that one.
I am so angry and I think that L.J Smith should finish the books and I'm going to cry!

Didn't Elena just die on the TV show so, you have so much time to think about the plot for the next book. But, no matter what it is I'll read it! There are soo many good quotes in the books! I want to re-read the series!
WAIT WHY ISN'T SHE WRITING THE BOOKS ANYMORE! WHO STOLE THEM!!! I'M SOO MAD THAT I'M TALKING IN ALL CAPS!!! WHY DO I FEEL SO BEHIND!!???
