In Your Eyes

Here is a poem I wrote for my weekly submission to All Things Books:

IN YOUR EYES
Ten eternities I could spend
In your eyes
They tell me stories, sweet lullabies
Revealing truths, unable to tell lies
Piercing deep inside until they reach my core
Haunting, soothing, controlling, though I am a willing captive
In your eyes
Protective guidance, a mirror to my soul
Dare I take the risk to look away
Lost, alone, helpless cries,
My heart dies
Until the moment when I am back
In your eyes
