advertising springtime

in Paris

 

and I went

and it wasn’t

though beautiful not spring

 

and yet unpromoted

a soft green bank

on a cold clear spring

 

no one tells you about

the spiders

alligators and snakes

 

softly the canoe rows

and the thrashing

is completely off screen
