Just Try It.

"I don't read fantasy." I've heard that from 7 out of 10 of my most loyal readers. And yet . . . many of them have taken a chance on this new book of mine. So far it has the highest rating on Amazon of any book I've ever written, and the consensus has been shock and amazement. My readers who "don't like fantasy" are loving The Bird and the Sword! Hoorah! So . . . here's my challenge to you. Read it. If you don't like it, tell me about it OR return it for a full refund on Amazon. Pretty cool that you can do that, huh? Thanks for giving it a shot. I took a huge risk with this one, and I hope you'll take a little leap of faith with me.

BRAVO Amy!

message 3: by Robyn (new)

Robyn I loved it! I felt like I was right there in the story. When an author does that, it truly is amazing!

Sophie "Beware Of The Reader" Well Amy, it was just fantastic!

beej Amy,
I have to tell you that without hearing your name before, I jumped into The Bird and the Sword blindly. I had no idea what you were capable of. I've never seen you at your best, or your worst. You have to know, I enjoyed every single moment of that book. Every moment, every word. I think you've painted a masterpiece with your words. It was BEAUTIFUL. Everything I could hope for in a book. Thank you for creating a new favorite of mine

message 6: by Krissy (new)

Krissy I absolutely loved this book! It is now one of my all time favorites. I was a little nervous because it's a totally different genre from what I typically read. I was hooked from the first page and have recommended it to all my friends. Thank you for a beautiful story. I would love to read more like them. Maybe Kjell can get his own story??

Scott-robert Shenkman I bought it when I came out, and I am saving it for when hit a bump in books I. It's like treasure to be valued. Because it seems so different, it makes the waiting...tolerable. When the next book comes out, about Italy and WWII, I will pull my typical Amy Harmon reaction, buy it, drop whatever I'm reading, try to savor it, and then read it in 4 days - twice. You always need to read Amy's books twice, because the last 10% always makes you look at the first 90% with a different perspective. Heck, I've read "The Law of Moses" three times, and it was within a one month period.

BobbiJean,

Amy doesn't have a worst. The first ones are amazing and they only get better from there. I would call them perfect, except that they have a last place. Yes, she is my favorite author.

I have updated my TBR to include all of her books. Thanks for the feedback. I look forward to exploring her talent more.

Scott-robert Shenkman She is wonderful - the best author I have encountered in ages. I never would have found her without my Kindle ("Making Faces" was my first - a true heart ripper that most likely has an HEA :) ). And I have been an addict ever since. And the best part - she didn't live in the 19th century - there's always a probability for more! I can never hold back my praises for this lovely lady (and she is, because we've emailed back and forth). Nicholas Sparks has nothing on her. I wish Hollywood would discover her already. Her characters would provide Oscar worthy performances for the right actor/actress. Every single book.

Victoria Casey Absolutely loved this.... can't wait for more... Like most i wasn't sure if the genre but it didn't take long before TBaTS became another favourite.
