Something Random...Back in Print Soon
After almost a decade out of print, there's talk that my second book Something Random & Tragic to Set the Guts Aflame...will once again be available, this time from Mary Celeste Press of Australia. It will be an expanded 3rd edition, perfect bound, fleshed out with a cache of unpublished poems all written during the era. Additionally we're planning to record readings of all included poems, and make them available both here, and at the Mary Celeste website.
For those keeping score, Mary Celeste Press is the revamped Mockfrog Press, both edited by Matthew Ward. He was one of the very first editors to support my work, and the first to send me a trans-Pacific letter asking for a chapbook-length manuscript. That was a great day. I am delighted to be working with him again, and I am especially glad that anyone who missed the book way back in 2001-2002 can finally get hold of not only the original work, but an expanded third edition. More specifics as they come in.
Have you sent me a postal address where you can be reached? No?! Pish posh...you're among friends here! If you'd like to share your address, you can reach me via the CONTACT FORM on the INFO page.
In other news: the week began with kind words for my three new poems featured at the Rusty Truck (who doesn't have any artwork I can swipe to promote it...hint hint), which then got re-popped here and here, and ended with a right fine review from the hallowed halls of the Lilliput Review. My thanks to Scot, Jack, Tyler, and Don for giving my work such opportunity & praise.
And it's a week late--but thanks, as well, to Ben Tanzer for the quick shout over at This Blog Will Change Your Life.
