Blurb:
Coming close to giving up on her cherished dream of following in her father’s footsteps, Kimber Cassidy, a plus-size voluptuous beauty in her mid-twenties, jumps at the chance to clear the name of a family friend, Manny. There’s been a murder at a local BDSM playspace and Manny’s been framed for the crime. In order to keep an innocent man from spending his life in jail, Kimber needs to use the logical and analytical skills taught to her by her father, a detective with the East Alton police, who was killed in the line of duty when she was just sixteen.
During her investigation into not only the murder, but also the sexually provocative BDSM lifestyle, Kimber will need to use her wits to gather all the facts and figure out who killed a member of The Playspace; a local kinky club. But it won’t be easy. During her adventure, she’ll come to know things not only about her family, but about also about herself, that will shake her to the core.
Things become even more complicated when Kimber meets Jeremy, another club member who is as sexy as he is dominant. As she delves deeper into the world of spanking and bondage, she discovers her deepest dark desires, but will she get lost in them? Only by relying on her father’s advice, facing her fears, and realizing who she can trust and who she can’t, will she be able to keep a man from suffering for a crime he did not commit.
Excerpt:
Jeremy poured her a second glass as their steaks showed up. Kimber cut into hers and just from the feel of the knife sliding through the meat. she could tell it was going to be good. The steam coming off her baked potato with the sour cream and butter melting down the side and the soft warm rolls, it all looked delicious.
“Did they cook your steak the way you wanted it?” Jeremy asked.
“Yes,” she said, popping the first bite in her mouth. Her eyes closed a bit as the bite just melted in her mouth and she reached for her glass of wine to sip with her bite. Wine’s not a drink you gulp, her dad would say, it’s a seasoning, like salt and pepper. It all mingled in her mouth in a blissful dance. She nodded and swallowed. “They did a very good job.”
“That’s why I like coming here. Good atmosphere, good food and now I’ve got good company.”
“Sounds like a trifecta.”
“Absolutely.”
“So, why did you ask me out?” Kimber asked.
“Honestly?”
“Yes, the truth is preferable.”
“Well,” he said, smiling, “this might sound kinda hokey.”
Kimber exhaled. “That might cost you points.”
“I was afraid of that.”
“Go ahead, it can’t be that bad.”
Jeremy thought for a bit. “From the moment you walked in the door at the playspace that one day, I just felt a catch.”
“A catch? You mean, in your breath?”
“In everything, actually. I was really scattered then. We had just had this tragedy happen and a lot of things were up in the air and members were worried and very concerned. And then, you walked in. I just focused on you. To be honest, you were breathtaking, Kimber.”
Kimber took a bite of her potato and thought while she chewed. “I’m trying to think what I was wearing.”
“It wasn’t what you were wearing, honey. It was, I don’t know, your manner. You seem very aware, positive and confident.”
“So, it’s not just my breasts?” Kimber asked, winking.
Jeremy shook his head and laughed. “No. I mean, you are very attractive. But the sexiest thing a woman can have is confidence.”
Kimber nodded. “Okay, that was just a little bit hokey, but I’ll let it pass.”
“Well, just because it’s hokey, doesn’t mean it’s not true.”
She smirked. “So, I imagine you’re a ’Top’?”
“Yes, I am.”
“Why type of play are you into?”
“Impact play mostly.”
“So, spanking, flogging, paddling…”
“Also caning, I’m currently loving this new tawse I’ve gotten.”
“Tawse?”
“It’s kinda hard to explain. It’s a leather strap, but it’s been split in two.”
Kimber nodded, trying to visualize it in her head and biting her lip.
“I’ll show you sometime.” He said, winking.
“Oh, you think so?”
He laughed again. “I know you’re at least a little bit curious.”
“Oh yeah, how do you know that?”
“You’ve been squirming in your seat since we’ve started talking about it.”
Kimber checked herself and made a face, then tried to shrug it off. “Maybe my panties are just riding up.”
He leaned forward and whispered, “Or maybe they’re just wet.”
It was her turn to lean forward and whisper. “Or maybe I’m not wearing any.”
“That’s what I kinda figured in the first place.”
She giggled and leaned back, aware that she was squirming again. She made an effort to stop. Dammit, she thought.
Their server walked up to their table to get their plates.
“Have you two left any room for dessert?” she asked.
Kimber licked her lips and shot a glance to Jeremy.
“I think I’d just like our check please.” he said.
As the server walked away, Kimber slipped her foot out of her shoe and slid it alongside one of his legs, til it was nestled snugly in his crotch.
“I do love these floor length tablecloths,” she said, smiling.
Jeremy pressed his lips together and nodded.
“They do come in handy,” he said, finally.
She could easily feel his excitement bulging against his slacks and from the feel of it pressing against the length of her foot, she could tell already, this was going to be a very good evening.
Jeremy cleared his throat and leaned forward again.
“Unless you want this evening to end ‘prematurely’,” he said, winking. “I suggest you put your foot back in your shoe, so we can get out of here.”
Kimber giggled. “Oooookaayyy.” she said, giving one last press on his cock, before slipping her foot back in her shoe.

Kimber Cassidy interview:
What is your full name and how old are you?
My full name? My name is Kimber Cassidy, supposedly my middle name is Marie, but I think it’s more like ‘Trouble’. I’m 26.
How would you describe yourself?
I’m a redhead, I’m smart, curvy and a big and fucking beautiful woman (BFBW). I have tits for miles and an sexy as fuck ass that is all sorts of fine. I have a big mouth and I know how to use it. I also have a brain and I’ll never be afraid to use it.
Where do you live?
I live in East Alton, a moderately-sized city in the Midwest, born and raised.
Any close friends?
I don’t have that many, but the ones I have mean a lot to me. First off, there’s my dog, Watson. I’ve had him for a few years now, he was a rescue dog. I don’t know what I’d do without him and he always knows when I need a pick-me-up. I have another very close friend, we both work at the local paper. Bobby Chadwick works in layout, he’s an older guy, but we bonded over similar interests in music, food and guys.
What do you do at the paper?
Ugh. I do these fluff human-interest stories. I hate it. I was hoping to do more investigative journalism, but they stuck me here.
Why investigative journalism?
What I’d really like to do is be a private eye. I want to do what my father did on the force. He did so many great things and was very well-respected at his job. In fact, they were beginning to groom him for the police chief’s job around the time he was killed.
I’m sorry to hear that, how did he die?
He had worked up some leads that ended up pointing to the location of the base of operations of a local drug ring. He participated in the raid and during the raid, he was fatally shot. I was 16. That’s why I have the tattoo on my right shoulder blade. It’s a valentine heart and in its black, except for my dad’s badge number inside.
Any other friends?
Dean Smith was my dad’s partner when he died. He was the one who ended up telling me about it and he’s always been there for me. He knows I want to follow in my father’s footsteps, so he’s been very helpful and supportive in that. I used to have a friend in high school, her name was Chrissy Sullivan. But shortly after my dad passed away, her dad’s work transferred him to London, so we’ve lost touch. But I still miss her.
Any other interests besides investigation?
My dad taught me how to do cryptograms, I love them and they keep me sharp. I read voraciously, some fiction, but a lot of non-fiction. I love the sciences, not so good at math though. I’m great with computers and techie things, am very adept at picking locks (which comes in handy) and also read Tarot.
Tarot? That seems odd. For someone who would want to deal with facts, Tarot seems rather arbitrary and superstitious.
It allows me to think outside the box and put things together in unconventional ways. It’s not just about having all the clues, its about putting them together in the right way.
Any boyfriends? Girlfriends?
Not really into relationships. But I do have a group of favorites and we do really well keeping each other entertained. (giggling)
We’ve talked about your dad. Is your mom still alive?
Yes, to be honest, we never really got along. After my dad died, it just went downhill. We keep in touch and everything, but its just awkward. We both loved dad, but of course, in different ways and when he was gone, it was like there was nothing left.
