I'm a dinosaur in this digital age for publishing.
I love my books.
I love the feel of them, the weight of them, the crispness of the pages, and particularly the smell of them.
It's why I doubt I'll ever get an e-reader.
Then Karl Lagerfeld comes along and tackles one of those problems in the digital era: the smell of books.
Can't get that out of your e-reader?
Well, then this is for you!
He's creating a fragrance to smell like books! No kidding!
'Paper Passion' will be sold inside a hollowed out hardcover book to hold the flacon. How cool is that?
Here are the
details.

I love books, I'll never replace getting them. The new Riva books just look lush, I don't want to buy them on Kindle. However, some books are downloadable for free, others dirt cheap. You can test an author too. (I've got some classics to read, such as Wuthering Heights).
On holiday, I'll be taking some paperbacks for the beach, but I'll be taking my Kindle too (less books to take then on hols). I can hold it in one hand, and read, while my other is dipping into chocolates, holding a glass of wine...
It sounds daft, but suffering with RSI, sometimes holding a book open makes my arms ache. The Kindle helps with this... I've even got a case that can make my Kindle stand up!
With taking my writing more seriously, and trying to read more books, by getting them on Kindle I can 'keep' them. Whereas I've had to start passing books on, as I just don't have the space.
I don't think books will be replaced, but I wouldn't be without my Kindle either now.
