Random Trivia Question

If you could switch places with any fictional character for a day, who would it be?

Why do I ask? Well, I’m watching a forest fire from my living room window, and I’m seriously wishing I had a magic wand on hand. I’d love to be Hermione for a day! How about you?

Darby Karchut Oh, great question! I would love to be Eowyn from the Lord of the Rings. She got to wield a sword AND she had her own horse. Bliss!

Susan And I'm seriously liking that uber long life span.... Nice choice.

Darby Karchut Oh yeah! I forgot about that! And her totally kick-ass helmet.

Susan The fire is only 5 percent contained so I'm sticking with Hermione again today or maybe I'll give Percy Jackson a try. He's got the water thing going on.

Darby Karchut Is your house in any danger? Wildfires are the bane of our existence in our neighborhood, so I know what you're going through! Be safe and keep me posted on what's going on, friend.

(I'll send Basil if it gets worse...)

Susan Monday was a tad bit dicey, but the wind seems to have changed directions. We will be on edge until Monsoon Season.

Basil! Why didn't I think of that? By the way, we've decided Griffin Rising will be a fun family read book for this summer. Each summer we pick a series and take turns reading it to each other out loud. One summer it was Harry Potter. Then Percy Jackson. Last summer we read Jarassic Park.

Still looking for another summer group read book. Any suggestions?

Darby Karchut Oh, I'm so glad to hear the wind shifted. Whew! Keep me posted. Summer group: I love the Ranger's Apprentice series!

Lacy I'd love to be Hermione for a day! What a great pick. A little miss know it all with a wand and cool friends...! Bring on the butter beer!

The next day I would be Rachael Morgan from the Hallow Series. A witch, with a vampire and pixy as best friends and a hot vampire boyfriend...could be interesting!

Susan Alright Lacy, I'm on my way to check out The Hallow Series. Haven't heard of it. Thanks for the newbie!!!

Lacy Sorry, it's the Hollow Series! Here is the link to the first book: Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows, #1) by Kim Harrison .

Susan Thanks Lacy. I'm on the last book of The Fever series and have been looking for a new author in that genre!

Lacy It is a good series. I'm going to be reading Darkfever this month! I'm excited to start the series. I've heard great things about it.
