If I had to describe this book in one word it would be magnificent! I was excited for this book because I love Greek mythology and romances!
Rachel Alexander did a wonderful job of creating worlds and characters through intricate detail and emotion. She took two classic figures (Hades and Persephone) and made them her own without sacrificing their core stories. She also did a wonderful job with Demeter, Zeus, and all the other characters.
It had been a while since I read a book that just sucked me in (been trying to get through the Song of Ice and Fire books). I finished this book in 3 days and even stayed up late reading it!
I love the relationship between Demeter and Kore! She truly loves her daughter and toucan feel her anguish when she is away from her. Aidon and Persephone are such an amazing couple! I love them so much! They start off rocky, but they make it so it’s not entirely like an arranged marriage. The love between them is so true and they are the perfect team! Can’t say enough good things about them! I also like how we get to see Demeter’s life and how she continues on. And her and Triptolemus.
I loved the story and how everything flowed together nicely! I also loved the smut
