Newbies Arise!

Hmmm.. Well, here I go! Plunging into uncharted territory, ass first. Well, uncharted territory for me anyway. I have never blogged before, except for on Myspace, but I don't think that's the same thing. To be perfectly honest, I've never even read a blog before. I've heard the name on T.V. and movies and such but since I'm admittedly computer illiterate I've been pretty much clueless as to what "blogging" is-- exactly. I read up a little bit on the subject and depending on which article I refer to blogging means several different things... Goodie!

However, I decided upon the one article that referred to blogging as an online journal where the author can talk about anything he/she wants. I so LOVE talking about anything I want. Especially since, according to those around me, I'm highly opinionated and unfortunately just not the type of opinionated most of them enjoy. More specifically, I'm not necessarily opinionated about what my cousin's ex-girlfriend's sister said about her bestfriend's boyfriend's ex-girlfriend... or whatever! I don't care! Nor do I care about politics... or complaining about all the world's problems as if adding my negative energy to them will actually fix them.

So, what am I opinionated about? Hmmm.... Religion. I could probably gab forever on the subject and leave people either flabbergasted or running for their pitchforks and torches (not that I don't believe in God). Sometimes I pick up a book that I want to go on and on and on about but seeing as how I don't have many friends and the ones I have either don't read or read but don't care enough to discuss what they read all I'm left with is my mother who also loves to read. If you want a long drawn out explanation as to why I think who should and should not move forward in American Idol or Dancing With the Stars, I am your girl.  I also love things like "The Secret" and "What the Bleep Do We Know"-- learning about our possibilities as infinite beings, positive thinking, changing the world by changing oneself... and all things related.

I struggle with a love for writing every second of every day. Yes, I said struggle. Us writers are maniacal, obsessive compulsive, and just down right nutty. I have friends that also write but for some REFUSE to talk with me about it (but that's a whole 'nother can of worms).

So, in a nutshell, I'm gonna jabber on as much as possible about reading, writing, spiritualism, and some other random stuff that I find interesting. Hopefully, if anyone bothers to read (nobody reads anything I post from anywhere else and yes I WILL throw myself a pity party over that soon enough because I can and because I want to and because I spend 99.9% of my time being the positive sprinkle fairy for all my friends and keeping them loved and motivated and since I don't know any of you I feel I can just drop the bomb and let it go and no one has to read it if they don't want to). I'm really not negative... Just feeling it at the moment.

Please, any newbies to the blogging world feel encouraged to leave comments and let me know that you are just as lost as I am...
