Emotions are such a funny thing. Many people choose to pour every emotion into a journal thinking it may relieve them of the constant nagging and the strung-out heartstrings. If only the simple act of forming your feelings into words and leaving them closed away inside a book could really lift that heavy weight. Maybe I wouldn't be so reluctant about pulling out a pen and paper every now and then… like I use to. It's most unfortunate for the nagging writer inside my head, that the basket case, who also holds a timeshare in the most prestigious parts of my brain, claims that if she dares to write one sentence containing any of their emotions it becomes permanent and thus, will haunt us forever. I'm assuming since the emotions can be replayed countless times as long as we continue to revisit the pages of said journal—replaying memories that we don't want to remember but could possibly forget if it were not for those darn pages.Doesn't sound like such a bad idea if the emotions were good, does it? Then we could eagerly pay the dear sweet pages a visit as often as possible for a nice uplifting. But then… who writes about those kinds of things?
