Really Good Read: Wide Sargasso Sea
"What are you reading?" Is something my reader friends are constantly asking. We're all after that reader's gold: the book you can't put down.
I've got a list of about 20, some I'm proud of, some I'm not. I'll dole them out in separate posts as I decide which ones I wouldn't mind sharing.
The first book is easy, though: Wide Sargasso Sea.
This is a two-part assignment because you'll need to read Jane Eyre first (even if you've read it before) for the full really good read effect. After you read or reread Jane Eyre, give it a day then read Wide Sargasso Sea.
If you don't love Jane Eyre or you never questioned the story on your own, Wide Sargasso Sea might not have the same effect. For me, though, it had me walking in a daze for, well, days.
