Forward Ever: The Killing of a Revolution
, presented by The New School explores the short lived Grenada Revolution of 1979-1983. The revolution, an armed insurrection against a pro-US dictatorship ended in bloodshed when then President Ronald Reagan ordered the invasion of Grenada and the revolution's leadership was subsequently executed. The invasion put an end to a unique experiment in Caribbean politics. The panel will explore those events as well as how the revolution is remembered in popular media. Speakers include Sean Jacobs and Nijah Cunningham.'
