New Work on the way

A quick update for the readers who are actually interested in my work

 

Here is an updated list for this year

Short stories – two are on the way soonish, with more to follow if I see some interest.  I plan to build a list of paid for titles, by the various means necessary, and will let you know if these have much of an effect beyond building up the audience for the free titles.  The writing experiment has been very worthwhile so far, and we have broken the million in terms of yearly readership hits overall.

Books – Best Adventure Ever will be completed after the next collection, as my usual flow has been interrupted by the game development

Game – The Guru game will take around two years to complete, but I will update when things are fully underway in terms of balancing artistry, coding and speed.  It is a bit like working on ten books at once.

Will be working on a visual novel or two during development, so there will probably be a free release early next year or so.

Art –

Folie a Versailles, which is an enormous piece of work, is underway but will probably take five years or so.

Broken, which is a complex wall or floor piece and is also enormous, has just been started

Wolfish – is underway but is again so huge that it will probably take a year or so

Float like a ….  is another huge piece which I will probably present in sections.

I will be doing another box or two, and they take around three months and a lot of money to produce.

There are also a dozen bags or so in the pipeline, but I tend to work on the sewing between other things, and as you can see the flow is not really dissipating.

Marketing

Stepping up the marketing is something I should be starting to think about at this point, so I will probably diversify the blog and article writing.  Got myself some business cards to leave around, but since my market is never going to be local, I am not sure how much I care how many are distributed.  Was invited into Homes and Garden this month, but will probably not go ahead with this, as it would really be vanity advertising until the next collection is further on.

So, although there may not seem to be any progress, it is still pretty intense at this end.

 

I am a bit fed up at the moment. I could do with being cheered up. Perhaps Wolfe could be persuaded to do something stupid, negative and destructive, as that usually cheers me up no end.
