I understand both sides of that feeling, for some reason I always hoped that Kris's brother would catch up with her, bring her a kitten and have a small adventure of his own. don't know why, its just something about the way the first story was written that stayed with me. It is also one I like very much. Or maybe an old coot of a farming aunt looking for some place off world to save a few of her precious breeding stock,sheep or lama's or whatever. Not rabbits, rabbits is a pain, as the aussies have discovered. :) anyway I suspect its the pioneering side of this old aries that really gets into how people colonize.
