Yesterday’s attack on the Sherlock fandom from Amanda tells me several things, but the main thing is that episode 2 features Mary on the outs and Sherlock and John very much together. AA finds it difficult to separate herself from her characters. She had spent the afternoon at the read through and was not in a happy place, that anger was OTT for the incident with the script and was clearly venting further frustrations. I think Benedict and Martin must have been having a great time with the John and Sherlock scenes!

Hmm. Interesting thought.

I realized, after the storm yesterday, that it meant that Amanda was for sure in S4.E2. I really wish she wasn’t. I feel like enough of the precious episodes we have are already all about Mary, which is just totally detracting from the 221B/John and Sherlock vibe for me (platonic or johnlock). I was ready for her to be gone at the end of HLV. (And she should have been after the shooting). But no, all was forgiven and there she was in TAB and now 2 episodes of S4. 

The only way this is going to be not awful is if she’s at least fully a villain by E2, or at least an ex, and John has moved back to 221B.  

There are hints that might be the case (the door knocker Arwel tweeted). I’m not sure the first page of the script either confirms or denies that, but last I saw the ‘decoding’ it was just a few lines. What did you see in the script that confirms it for you?

Interesting thought that she might have been in a pissy mood yeseterday because of the script and read through. It’s possible and an interesting observation.
