The Encumbered Author Week 1
It’s Friday and I have a glass of wine in one hand and a saved episode of Outlander waiting on the telly. I also have paw paw cream spread generally over my butt cheeks from too many situps at cross fit this week, but we can’t have everything.
Unfortunately, due to my flat looking like a construction site this week, my word count stayed well out of reach. I am disappointed and cannot help, but think back to those blissful days before parenthood when I could sit in front of my laptop for hours arranging plotlines in my head. I’m sitting at another 7,000 words to finish the second book in Nathaniel Hawk’s story. Even if I say all I need to do is push through, its not the same as trying to get a couple more push ups out of me.
On a lighter note, I will be putting the cover out to tender next week, the fun part of writing a new book. All I need to do is decide whether Nathaniel should be wearing a shirt or not.
