love is very scary and vulnerable and large and not just because you sleep next to each other at night completely helpless and unaware and without skin or because you see each other naked, all the ugly lumps and scars that you hide from everyone else and can’t even look at in the mirror but because love is something growing inside of you, constantly reaching and living and becoming and the thought of cutting that beautiful thing down is the single most terrifying idea ever
