Operation Auction and Contest!!!

Hi everyone!

First, a quick note about Operation Auction — thanks again to everyone who participated! Now that RT is over, things should move a little faster, so if you were a winner and haven't heard anything since the auction, please rest assured that your money was received and your information sent to the donor. I would say that if you haven't heard from anyone by around the 25th or so, let one of us know and we'll do a quick check to see what's up.

Now, onto my contest!

There are a bunch of releases this month, and I'm going to give you a chance to win one of three.

First up, Michelle Willingham's Claimed By The Highland Warrior. Medieval romance is what got me into romance in the first place, and though I've gotten away from it, I always read Michelle's books. Love them! Here's the blurb:

Scotland, 1305

Bram MacKinloch has spent seven long, torturous years in captivity with only three things to keep him alive—pure brute strength, a thirst for revenge and the memory of his pretty wife's face.

Shock is only one of the emotions coursing through Nairna's body when she sees Bram again. His scars tell of suffering, the hunger in his eyes speak of a burning desire so raw it could consume them both. But a lot has changed since they so innocently wed….

Next up, Amy Knupp's Burning Ambition. Amy is a fellow member of Writeminded, and a friend who recently moved to Wisconsin, so now I get to stalk her in person instead of just online! Woo hoo! Ahem. Anyway, her newest firefighter (yum) book is out, and you don't want to miss it. She might write for the Superromance line, which tends to be on the less steamy side, but as I like to tell her, I can read the cursing between the lines (if you knew Amy, you'd understand! *g*) Here's the blurb:

Captain Joe Mendoza has wanted to be fire chief since he was four years old. And now he's one step away from making assistant chief. But that's proving to be one big step now that the chief's daughter has joined his crew. He's promised he'll keep her safe — and promised himself to keep things strictly business.

Faith Peligni has battled her way back from an on-the-job injury in San Antonio, and she's stronger than ever. Even if as the first female firefighter on the San Amaro Island crew — and the chief's daughter — she's expecting some heat. But with the impossibly distracting Joe Mendoza as her captain, who knew it could get this hot?

Your next choice is Eternal Kiss, by Laura Wright. Her first book in the Mark of the Vampire series made a big splash, and how can you not love those covers? For some reason, the fence thing really gets me. LOVE the barbed wire. I wonder what they'll do for the next book…

Raised by the Breed, Nicholas Roman wants to stop the Eternal Order of Vampires from controlling his life, and using other males from his bloodline-including possibly his son-for their vicious reign. Only a beautiful vampire stranger can help him. But what are her true motives?

Okay, so how to enter the contest? Well, I'm easy. Just tell me which of the three books listed by Michelle, Amy, or Laura you want to win, and list a second choice, as well. See, easy? Also, Michelle and Laura will both send signed bookplates to the winner, and Laura will include a set of trading cards!

One random winner will also win a Demonica/Larissa Ione tote bag!

Contest is open to everywhere The Book Depository will ship, and winner will be posted on Monday, so please check back to see if you won.

Have a great weekend!

P.S. don't forget to pick up Eternal Rider at your local book store!

Susan Thanks for the contest. I would love to win Laura Wright's Eternal Kiss. My second choice is Michelle Willingham's Claimed By The Highland Warrior. I loved Eternal Rider. I am anxiously awaiting the second book in that series.

message 2: by Rayna (new)

Rayna I would love to win Eternal Kiss by Laura Wright. My second choice would be Michelle's book Claimed By The Highland Warrior.
I can understand trying to get back in to reading what started you on romance in the first place. I fell in love with Iris Johansen's characters from "The Beloved Scoundrel" are still my favorite.

message 3: by Grace (new)

I'm nearly done with eternal rider and ARES is my new fav hero. Love him!

message 4: by Lin (new)

Lin Put me down for Claimed by a Highland Warrior. I have the other 2 already. I love men in kilts and would love to try Michelle's as I have never read any of her books before.

A Demonica tote would be awesome as well.
