Never Alone

Forgive another Survivor post, but this last episode was full of lessons for all of us who follow Christ. (In other words, expect a few more Survivor blog posts.)

Seen as a threat early in the game by ringleader Rob, Matt Elrod was sent to Redemption Island early in the game.

He spent fifteen days alone, defeating every opponent sent to duel with him. Matt was quick to reveal that during this alone time, he grew closer to God.

The lesson for all of us who belong to God is that no matter how "alone" we feel, we're not. Sometimes, our loving Father places us in lonely places to grow us closer to Him.

Jesus expressed it best--right before He went to the cross to redeem us all.

"A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me." (John 16:32)

Dear brother and sister in Christ, you are NEVER alone.
