What advice do you have for a writer struggling to acquire an agent? My goal is to turn my blog into a novel. I had one agent tell me to reach out again when I had a large following large "enough to impact sales".

Hi! I have found more luck with agents who seem interested in my work based on the strength of the writing, though I think that having some experience using social media and building an online following helped. I did a lot of writing for other literary blogs like Electric Literature too, which may have helped some too. But at the end of the day I think it has to be the writing that they are most excited about. Hope that helps!
