The Fighter

What an excellent movie The Fighter is! Far exceeded my expectations. 

In fact, Christian Bale delivers what may be the finest acting performance I have seen this year, even better than Colin Firth in The King's Speech.

The Fighter is based on a true story of a boxer seeking his one chance at a title bout while being mentored/trained by his older brother (Bale). The older brother was a fighter in his own right but has devolved into a life of crack addiction and dysfunction. 

Not much to dislike in this film. Inspiring, well-acted, and deeply moving story of redemption. Plus it has Amy Adams. What's not to like?!

I highly recommend it.
