My March sales numbers

Here are my sales numbers for March. I dropped the prices to $.99 for the whole month to see what would happen, and I'm very surprised by the results. It's nice to see all the hard work at promoting I'm doing is paying off. Of course, I'm not one of those big name Indie authors who sell thousands a month, but I hope I'm getting there.

Don't Mess With Earth

Kindle: 136

Barnes & Noble: 100

Smashwords: 18

The Usurper

Kindle: 33

B&N: 7

Smashwords: 27

1 paperback

Shattered Earth:

Kindle: 61

B&N: 3

Smashwords: 87

2 paperbacks

Out of Time

Kindle: 34

B&N: 3

Smashwords: 15

1 paperback

Making it 528 sold this month, which is more than double any other previous month I've ever had. Of course, this was probably due to having my novels at $.99 for the month, which is cool anyway. Plus, I have now sold at this moment 1567 novels, which I never thought I'd ever get to. Thanks to all the readers out there who have bought copies.

Kate Bowyer Sounds like you're doing great to me. Are you going to keep your books at .99cents? Or will you do something like what Konrath is and rotate one of your books every so often to .99cents and keep the rest at a higher price?

I hadn't really thought about doing that. Don't Mess With Earth is doing really well at $.99, since it's one of the many $.99 ebooks posted on the Excuse Me, Miss site, and I figured that was where I was getting all my sales from, but I don't know that for sure. Amazon lowered Shattered Earth back to $.99 themselves, after I re-set it to $2.99. I noticed that no matter what I price I set for The Usurper, or Out of Time, I pretty much get around the exact same numbers every month. People's buying habits are a mystery to me....

Thanks for sharing that information Cliff. I think the main thing I've learn is exactly what you said, "People's buying habits are a mystery".

Best of luck with the sales this month!
