another CLOAK GAMES: SHADOW JUMP excerpt

Time for another excerpt from CLOAK GAMES: SHADOW JUMP!

He hesitated. “Have you ever been in love?”

I sat in silence for a while.

“Yes,” I said. “It didn’t end well.”

 “What happened?”

“Let’s just say it’s the reason that apartment building blew up,” I said.

Evonne I love how quickly your books come out. It always seems like you have more than one project going on at a time. How do you keep it all straight?

Thanks! I outline thoroughly in advance. Usually, I write two books at once - I call it my 80/20 rule. 80 percent of my effort goes to the first book, and then 20 percent to the second. It's a nice mental break. Then when the first book is done, I'm usually a 1/4 of the way through the second book, and then that becomes the new 80 percent book while the next book becomes the new 20 percent book.
