At the risk of incurring the wrath of angry fans, aside from Barbara's role in the Killing Joke(which i agree with), what else did you not like about it?

Hmm.

That’s a fair question. Okay, let’s see. I haven’t read it in years. And I am an Alan Moore fan, I think he’s created works of shattering genius.

But to me, people act far out of character the entire time. And he added a sexual sadism to the Joker that was, at most, hinted at previously. I know he says Barbara isn’t raped in the book, and I completely believe him, but there’s no question that there’s a sexual component to it that I thought was really kind of juvenile and embarrassing. It rings the bell for people who haven’t seen enough shitty revenge movies, I guess.

I remember being amazed by the art and structure, but I love those characters and Barbara and the Joker in particular were just not recognizable to me.

Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, I don’t judge people for liking it. It’s absolutely bizarre to me that so many people got upset that it’s not my favorite. I could name a dozen Alan Moore superhero stories I like more, and I can certainly name a lot of Batman stories I like more. Something about the combination here didn’t work for me. It is so completely not a big deal, I have tons of stories I don’t like for one reason or another. So does everyone.

So, I know there’s some great stuff and it LOOKS amazing. But as an Alan Moore fan, and a Batman fan, it was the first time I really felt let down by something he’d worked on.
