Wading Home should not be given away for free

Remember this post where I got a free book thanks to a tip from White Readers Meet Black Authors? Well, I finally got around to reading Wading Home, by Rosalyn Story (UK link here) and while I am thrilled I got to read this book - how bloody sad that the publishers had to GIVE IT AWAY to get the book any attention. I greatly enjoyed this meandering tale which spins a yarn so melancholy sweet, making the reader yearn for ice cold lemonade and red beans. If pressed to compare Rosalyn Story's style, I'd say Fannie Flagg with tabasco....
