Decline of Environmentalism - How to brighten up faded issues
Lawrence Solomon's article "How ‘environmentalism’ became America’s dirty word" is describing the decline of Environmentalism - and the reasons to it.

I think its an interesting article, yet missing some ideas, so I commented to this article with this:
"I believe ‘environmentalism’ took a step backwards in the general public attention when other issues that are perceived as more immediate (mainly in Europe - environmentalism locomotive), like the economic stagnation and deterioration of national security, moved in. I also believe it will take a step forward when environmental situation will get harsher. Yet in the meantime, we, writers and activist, should try and make the environmental issues that we care about more interesting and appealing to the public, by finding new interpretations and representations to these issues. That is, anyway, what I'm trying to do in my writings."
My book 'Snowflake River' is not an environmental book - it is suspense/prose/fanrasy, but it does reflect on some of the major environmental issues, like 'brainwash advertising' and balances between us humans and our surrounding nature.
