'Truth Academy' Equips Citizens to Combat Anti-Christian Bigotry

Lynchburg, VA - The second "Americans for Truth Academy" will be held on April 1-2 at the Discover Christian Church in Dublin, OH near Columbus. The event - co-sponsored by Americans for Truth About Homosexuality and Mission America - is "an intensive seminar designed to educate citizens from a conservative perspective on the homosexual-bisexual-transgender agenda." The Truth Academy Columbus theme: "The 'Hate' Labeling of Christians - Why it's Happening and What We Can Do."

Among the list of pro-family expert presenters are Matt Barber, Vice President of Liberty Counsel Action and Rena Lindevaldsen, Liberty Counsel attorney and professor with Liberty University School of Law. David Kupelian, WorldNetDaily.com editor and bestselling author of "The Marketing of Evil" and "How Evil Works," will headline the event.

"In today's postmodern world," said Barber, "people are conditioned to surrender to powerful spiritual and political forces that call evil good and good evil. Therefore, it's now more important than ever for those who honor the biblical sexual ethic to become equipped and involved, offering God's objective truth on sexual behavior in a reasoned and compassionate, but likewise passionate way. The Truth Academy is designed to do just that.

"The strategy of left-wing secularist pressure groups like Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), is to smear those who agree with God's unambiguous design for human sexuality as 'hatemongers,' 'fundamentalists,' 'homophobes' and 'bigots.' Such petty name calling should be of little concern to those who love truth. Scripture affirms that they will hate us because they first hated Christ.

"Still," continued Barber, "what is of concern is that many of those who currently wield power in Washington and in statehouses across this great Christian nation have, in large part, capitulated to the dictates of a radical 'progressive' minority. This tyrannical minority is bent on criminalizing the view of sexuality held true by every major world religion, thousands of years of history and uncompromising human biology.

"I strongly encourage people to attend the Truth Academy and leave both inspired and prepared to engage this culture war clash as it reaches a boil. Surrendering our nation to rebellious, anti-Christian purveyors of sexual anarchy is simply not an option," concluded Barber.
