Receiver Of Many
Is it considered spoiling if I say that this story is very, very smutty? :D
Like… really smutty?
No? Okay.
It’s been a while since I read a story based on Greek mythology, so it was nice to get back into that again.
Overall I thought the story was entertaining, well-paced and pretty well written. I liked the chapters from Persephone’s and Aidon’s perspective best, I could have done without the other POV.
The development of their relationship and their various insecurities was nicely portrayed and as a couple I found them to be very believable.
My criticism would be that the ending felt kind of rushed to me and I didn’t care much for the open ending
I was waiting for Persephone to finally tell Aidon that she loved him and I was disappointed when it didn’t happen.
To me it felt that her hesitation in voicing her feelings was needlessly dragged out.
On another note, I didn’t care much for Minthe’s chapter, or rather the things that happened to her and I’d put up a trigger warning for non consensual sex.
To me the chapter felt unnecessary and very much at odds with the otherwise light and romantic/sexy content of the rest of the book.
No matter what setting, reading about non-con is just something I will never enjoy.
What did everyone else think of the book?
