Let’s start with Greg Lestrade. Short stubbly hair, nothing new here.

Now, John looks different to me. Slightly longer hair, slicked back? Definitely no ring in that picture! Though I wouldn’t advise to jump to premature conclusions. They might not be in full costume, yet.

And finally Sherlock: Wig or no wig?

I personally think extensions/wig on Benedict based on recent photos (unless I’m mistaken and the recent photos aren’t all that recent) and I think that Martin’s not in his actual John hair…that hair is so very very Martin that it’s throwing me for a total loop. Because he’s obviously in costume. Ugh, I’m a little wrecked.

Agreed I personally think Sherlock’s hair here is extensions/wig. I take pride in knowing my fave Sherlock curls. And that hair does not look like 100% pure Sherlock curls

As for Martin, that’s Martin’s hair. I don’t think they will suddenly change John’s hairstyle to sleek back style, John has always been displayed as the more “ordinary, everyday man”. A sleek back style is too dapper to fit this characterization
