Rainbow Snippets – April 16th 2016

It’s time once again to post a snippet of an up and coming work on Rainbow Snippets For those of you who don’t know,  Rainbow Snippets is a Facebook group where you share six sentences of a work that has LGBT related content. In this Rainbow Snippet, we return to Blitzen’s Gift, which has now reached over 16,000 words at last count. This scene is set after Ryan and Blitzen have had a minor disagreement, and Blitzen has returned to his desk to do some thinking.

Blitzen sighed and pulled his long hair out of his eyes. His phone lit up on the desk, showing a picture of him and Ryan taken a few days previously.

“Why won’t you tell me the truth?” he whispered, almost to himself.

“Because you weren’t ready to hear it.”

Blitzen jumped at hearing a reply to his question. He searched around for several moments, but saw no one around. He looked back down at his phone, but was startled when he saw a flash of golden light appear in front of his desk.

“You always were easy to scare,” a voice chuckled when it had disappeared. The alpha reindeer looked upwards, and he froze in place at what he saw.

“Nik?” he asked, almost in a whisper.

Once again, I would like to thank every member of the group who has offered me kind words so far. Your support and friendship mean the world to me. I hope you enjoyed everyone enjoyed this little snippet, and are looking forward to another brief glimpse as well as the final release.
