Run Blogging

So yesterday, [info] seyeh  convinced me (by "convince" it was more "gave me an excuse") to start up running again today with the goal of reaching 10K again when I/we can.  Me being totally ignorant of what day it is until earlier this morning.

So.  I am observing Lent, again.  Truth be told, Lent is my favorite Christian observance; there are a lot of Christians I like and I enjoy showing solidarity with those of them that observe this season.  Besides, I take stuff like this as encouragement to do better and more (because, my belief or nonbelief aside, I was raised Lutheran and when Jesus is coming, I still try to look busy).

To that end, back up to 5K by Easter.  If that proves too easy, I'll see how close I can get to 10K.  Today, I managed about 2 miles.  Wind was okay, but legs were not happy.  Speed was pathetic.  But I ran twice as far as I expected to be able to go, so Win.
