Shadow Lion

Every now and again I dabble in poetry. I'm not any great shakes like my daughter but I enjoy it just the same. This little poem came to me...well, you'll see how it came to me. I hope you enjoy it!

Shadow Lion

Dear me, oh my, what could that be Hiding behind the drapery?A Bengal tiger of orange and black? An ocelot with a spotted back?A cheetah sleek and built for speed?A leopard and his prey both treed?A puma sunning on a rock?A bobcat eying a farmer's flock?Or mayhap hidden behind my drapeThe shadow lion casting a fearsome shape?
