The Final Countdown!

 

Forgive me. I couldn't resist. And you can thank me for that tune running through your head for the rest of the day.

Five days from now I will officially be a full-time writer.

I'm not ready. There's no way I'm ready. I've got insurance issues to worry about! I'm a long way from setting up my business and accounting systems! I don't have enough Ramen stocked up!

The work will be there. I've got several projects on my desk or in the pipe. I'll stay busy (I have to remind myself). The work will be there…

As long as I don't suck.

I'm ready to work. I'm just not ready for everything else that goes along with writing full-time. But not being ready has never stopped me before. I'm like the anti-Boy Scout. "Never be prepared… and reap the whirlwind." That's my motto!
