The moment I began to write, I couldn’t put my pen down—in the same way the reader is drawn to find out what sibling abuse really is, how one heals from devastation of childhood, and maybe even how one can prevent the abuse from happening in the first place.
Why not keep these stories of Patra and Angela hidden? After all, these two girls have more than their share of pain. But in order to overcome the pain and devastation, society must see what the problem is. The time has come to replace ignorance with compassion and understanding. At the same time, begin a global movement to provide support, advocate for prevention, and protect children around the world.
