When worlds COLLIDE
Today, I have a special guest.
She’s someone I admire. She’s strong, fearless, caring and above all, she is the author of COLLIDE. One of the most exciting books i’ve read in a LONG time.
With every guest to this blog, I want something different. A little bit of the “YOU” inside the powerful writing machine! So when I asked for a Playlist, Melissa didn’t disappoint. And since I am re-reading (yes, it’s that good) Collide, I was doubly excited. Now I can match songs to scenes, I can just that little bit of something to the story i’m reading about.
Don’t forget to read scroll down a little further and read all about Collide By Melissa J. Cripin.
Melissa J. Crispin’s playlist for Collide
• Just So You Know by Jesse McCartney
• I Won’t Give Up by Jason Mraz
• Ever Dream by Nightwish
• Fight Song by Rachel Platten
• Starts with Goodbye by Carrie Underwood
• Mad World by Michael Andrews (feat. Gary Jules)
• Your Guardian Angel by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
• Bring Me to Life by Evanescence
• It Will Rain by Bruno Mars
• Lover Lay Down by Dave Matthews Band
• Let Her Go by Passenger
• This by Ed Sheeran
• Everlong by the Foo Fighters
• My Immortal by Evanescence
It’s an eclectic mix of genres, but I listen to all different music so that’s how it turned out. I also had Landslide by Fleetwood Mac in there, but cut it at the last minute because it seemed too depressing.
Kayla has a plan. She’s moving to the city after graduation and Luke’s coming with her. He’ll eventually become a doctor, she’ll be a ballerina—and they’ll live happily ever after. That is, until dark forces, led by a sister she never knew existed, start hunting her down for a power she never knew she had.
When Kayla starts working with a boy named Alec to learn how to defend herself and to stop the evil from eliminating the worlds, she finds herself falling for him. Hard. Torn between two loves and struggling to do what’s right for Earth and Afterlife, Kayla must decide if she’s fighting to keep her life together, or letting it go to save everyone else’s.
