YA Scavenger Hunt

Hello, C.J. here! Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt! This bi-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors...and a chance to win some awesome prizes! At this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize--one lucky winner will receive one book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 72 hours - March 29th through April 3rd!
Go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page to find out all about the hunt. There are eight contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all! I am a part of the ORANGE TEAM--but there is also a red team, a blue team, a gold team, a green team, a teal team, a blue team, a purple team, and a pink team for a chance to win a whole different set of books!

If you'd like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page.

Directions: Below, you'll notice that I've hidden my favorite number. Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the orange team, and then add them up (don't worry, you can use a calculator!).
Entry Form: Once you've added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.
Rules: Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by April 3rd, at noon Pacific Time. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.

I'm delighted to be hosting Amy Evans for this portion of the YA Scavenger Hunt. Here's a little bit about Amy:

Amy Evans is a young adult / new adult author who believes all the best stories get told with kisses and that sharing wishes makes them more likely to come true. When she’s not chatting with the characters who live in her head, she can be found at the beach or hanging out with her husband, their kids and Katie-The-Pug.
Find out more information by checking out her author website or find more about Amy's book here!

EXCLUSIVE CONTENTFor my extra special YA ScavengerHunt content, I’ve made some mood boards for my young adult series The Dolphin Prophecy. If you like fantastical lifeguards, paranormal dolphins, medical mysteries and heart-stopping romance then you’ll want to check out these books. They’re a genre-blending joyride of action and fun!

The books take place on Pinhold Island in California, a place of extreme beauty and extreme danger. The black sand beaches are so magnetically charged that they can hold a pin perpendicular to the ocean. Dolphins play in the forty foot waves, and surfers and beach lovers rush to join them, ignoring the deadly rip tides that catch even the strongest of swimmers by surprise and trap them on the ocean floor.
An ancient organization called The Guard works to keep people from drowning even in the most dramatic conditions, and all residents of Pinhold are expected to train and serve in exchange for living in the most beautiful place on earth.  Descended from the ten families who’ve lived on the island for thousands of years, islanders are known for being incredible swimmers. The newest generation is also known for having an unusually large number of sets of twins.
When the books start, it’s time for the new generation of twins to train to take over, and of course, that’s when the trouble begins.
Start The Dolphin Prophecy with CLICKS.  Clicks are the sounds the universe makes to tell you what happens next. They’re truths you know in your heart even though they don’t make sense in your brain.

The second book is ECHOES, available in April. Add it to your TBR on Goodreads.ECHOES are the sounds the universe makes when you ignore the warning the first time. Louder and more dangerous than CLICKS, they reverberate and cause damage if ignored.

Thanks so much to CJ Redwine for hosting me for #YAScavengerHunt2016. Good luck hunting and enjoy looking around!
