I want to take a minute to get brutally honest with you all. You want to publish your book? Well, you had better put on your grown-up pants and act like a damn adult.
Writing a book is only the first step to becoming a professional author. Yes- if you are writing a book in hopes of publishing, this makes you a professional author. So before you submit your book to a publisher, keep a few things in mind:
When working with others: editors, proofreaders, cover design, book management.. whoever! Keep in mind that you are all in a business relationship. If someone isn’t pulling their weight- discuss it with them like mature, professionals do. Don’t fly off the handle on someone and fire them without so much as a warning.
