The assignment brief for Photo 101, Day 14: Scale & Observation was to pay attention to the elements of the scene before pressing the shutter. That’s on my to-do list. This photo was taken in exactly the manner they don’t recommend.
I was driving past a field at a low speed, didn’t get a chance to stop and had to stick the camera out the window and point and shoot or lose this gorgeous shot. I love how it turned out, with the bull with one leg ever so delicately poised in the air showing all the grace of a ballet dancer. I probably wouldn’t have caught that moment if I’d been overthinking the shot. Sometimes spontaneity pays off.
