Oscar, my temporary ���big brother��� had spent the night with me before my departure to London and Europe. It had been a sad parting since we disliked the thought of not seeing each other for the next few weeks. We did our best to keep ourselves in good spirits when we said our goodbyes the following morning. As much as Oscar did not welcome the idea of spending our holidays separately and me going with my Valet, he donned a brave face and wished me an enjoyable vacation; reminding us that I would be on his mind throughout our time apart. As much as I wanted to spend the holidays with Oscar, I had responsibilities to fulfill: spending a little time in London with Uncle James and the rest of the 2 and half weeks with Andy, and visiting our professor friends, Ludwig and Oberon, in Baden W��rttemberg, Germany. I had also promised Andy to visit his parents in Vaduz, on Christmas and Boxing Day.

I was petrified during the frightening assault and was glad my protectors were next to me on either side as if they were guarding a precious jewel. Andy had washed and cleaned me in a hot bath before wrapping his cozy red and black checked flannel bathrobe around my shivering body.
