THE ONE WAY YOUR GUT COMPARES TO A FISH TANK

You may be wondering how your human gut can be compared to a fish tank. In one word, this is due to bacteria.

To understand the the basics of fish-keeping you need to know this one important rule. In fish-keeping, growing and maintaining good bacteria is the single most important thing an aquarium hobbyist can do to keep a healthy fish tank. This is because fish tanks house beneficial bacteria. These 'good' bacteria are essential to the overall health of the fish tank and its fish. Without these helpful bacteria, ammonia in the aquarium would quickly accumulate to lethal levels, killing the fish.

In the same way, the human gut needs to maintain an above average level of good bacteria for you to have good health. This good bacteria prevents the human gut and the bloodstream from toxicity. To explain, the human gut thrives when good bacteria are present. But when bad bacteria appear there's trouble. Improperly combined food in the gut putrefies in the intestine releasing a harmful gas -- ammonia, which leaks from the intestine into the bloodstream, poisoning the blood. This toxic affect is called ammonia permeability, which results in a range of symptoms such as bloating, gas and digestive upset, to no symptoms at all.

When there are symptoms, inflammation and ulceration can interrupt absorption and assimilation of nutrients, as well as digestion and elimination. Constipation results in a dangerous toxic backup.

Ammonia permeability is what alternative, integrative, functional and homeopathic medicine and medical science "mistakenly refer to as leaky gut," according to Anthony William, author of the Medical Medium. The idea being that in a true leaky gut, each time an undigested microscopic food particle escaped through the lining of the intestine raging fever, sepsis and a blood infection would occur. Therefore it makes more sense that with ammonia gas permeating the intestine toxicity would occur.

This is where the fish tank analogy comes in. While it sounds simplistic, the human body is 80% water. As our levels of stress, emotions, medications, and improper diets hinder the bacteria housed in our gut, our good, protective bacteria dissipates. That's when we become a walking 'tank' of gaseous, harmful and toxic ammonia.

One really effective way to replace the bad bacteria in the gut and repopulate it with beneficial bacteria is to eat what I call, naturalbiotics. Naturalbiotics are the freshest, organic, fruit and vegetables you can find. The key word is fresh. Fresh fruit and vegetables are gifted with healthy bacteria from nature that remains on the rind and leaves from growing in the sun. Over time consuming this beneficial bacteria helps the gut return to its health place. Eaten abundantly in the proper combinations naturalbiotics will vastly improve digestion and elimination and provide you with the living bacteria you need to repopulate your gut.

If you get your fruits and vegetables from a farmer, great. If you grow your own pesticide free fruits and vegetables, even better. Pick them from the tree and eat them. Natures fast foods, freshly picked or as close to freshly picked as possible, and lightly washed will still provide the human body with the naturalbiotics it needs to repopulate good bacteria in the gut and keep you feeling well.

You want to eat at least 5-7 fresh fruits per day whole or in a smoothie, and just as much raw fresh organic vegetables to heal your gut and regain your health. The end result will be a body that vital, healthy and energetic.
