The Author And Reader Know Each Other

I always thought it was cool to know an author through their books. Gabriel Garcia Marquez is one I knew well. But I really feel I know Isabel Allende as she has written about her childhood, her husband, the loss of her two children, as well as aging. If I were to meet her, it would feel like running into an old friend! ;-)
