This week's excerpt from erotic romance What Happens in Bangkok on WIP it Up Wednesday #wipitup

I am super happy to announce the trilogy is done. All three books are written, Whew. I am going back to book 1 to adjust a couple of things that were changed later in the story and then it is off to the publisher. I'll keep posting snippets form this story until the end of March then I'll move on to something else.

So without further ado - from What Happens in Bangkok



Brian placed his hands in a praying position. "Can I ask one more favor?"Erik knew this look. The guy, Apollo, was obviously a stray, like a lost puppy Brian found. His heart was too big. She crossed her arms and waited."Can he sleep here? The apartment's full and, well, at the moment he's broke."Erik chewed her bottom lip and ran her gaze over Apollo. A shivered slithered down her spine. His soulful eyes were the color of sapphires with flecks of amber. The green muscle shirt stretched across his chest. His hands were big, but had the certain something that drove her crazy. The thought of his fingers skimming along her flesh or twirling a nipple made her thighs clench."I'll personally vouch for him." Brian placed his hand over his heart. "He doesn’t drink. Much. He doesn’t do drugs. Anymore. Think of him as a guard dog. He'll bark if some tries to break in."She raised an eyebrow. "Hmm."Brian chuckled. "He doesn't have fleas."Apollo scratched his neck. Stewart slapped at his arm."He's house trained, too.""Will I have to walk him?" Erik asked in a teasing tone.A grin spread across Apollo's mouth. "Collar and a leash?""Behave!" Sandee wacked his butt.Nothing about this new performer raised a red flag. She felt comfortable with him, possibly could become friends. "You got a month. That should give you time to get on to your feet. Screw up and you are on the street. Deal?" She held out her hand."Deal." He gripped her hand.A jolt shot through her and landed behind her belly button. A flush burned at her cheeks. Erik wondered why the schoolgirl reaction to a simple handshake. "I'm gonna go do business stuff in the office and let you guys get to work." She didn't release his hand, nor did he let go. Erik squirmed inside her sweats. There was something different about him. Why did think she of him as different from one of the queens?"Let's go, Apollo. Get you a spot in the dressing room." Brian and the others walked away. Apollo stayed behind."Uh, thanks for the job. I can use the coin.""Darien." Brian's tone was sharp.Apollo released her hand, turned and followed Brian.Erik sagged. He was still in character. Still performing, pretending he was Darien Scott.
Damn. She returned to the kitchen, threw her cold coffee into the microwave, heated it then strolled to her office. She paused. She couldn't help it, something inside insisted she return to the main room and settle back to watch the guys work their new buddy into the show. Brian, Stewart, Sandee and the other performers were a great group of pals. They faced a lot of criticism and hate, but they stood strong and leaned on each other.As she sipped her coffee, she was sure Apollo snuck a couple of glances in her direction. Probably just checking out the Boss Lady. What she wouldn't give to be locked in an embrace and pressed up against that firm chest that threatened to burst through the shirt, while that deep voice sang love songs in her ear."Ahem."Erik glanced up.
