Google‘s DeepMind project has created AlphaGO — the first computer program ever to beat a professional player at the ancient game of Go. This feat of Artificial Intelligence, reminiscent of IBM‘s Deep Blue victory against Russian Chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov in the late 1990’s, now pits machine-mind against South Korean Go champion, Lee Sedol.
