Caina’s Adventuring Party

As I finished up Chapter 2 of GHOST IN THE PACT, it occurred to me that the core group of GHOST EXILE characters would translate very well to a D&D adventuring party.

Caina: Fighter / Thief (and after GHOST IN THE SEAL, the valikarion template, which applies permanent True Sight, Mind Blank, and Detect Magic abilities)

Kylon: Fighter / Mage (with bonus Detect Outsider ability)

Morgant: Fighter / Assassin

Nasser: Fighter

Laertes: Fighter

Annarah: Cleric / Mage

Claudia: Mage

Nerina: Thief (with specialization in Find Traps and Open Locks)

Azaces: Fighter

Malcolm: Fighter

The core group of villains, alas, would not be quite so balanced.

Callatas: Epic-level archmage

Kalgri: Fighter / Assassin (with nagataaru infestation template)

Cassander: Archmage

Ricimer: Mage (with nagataaru infestation template)

Erghulan Amirasku: Fighter

Ijka hi, great to hear this book is under way. i recently re-read the entire series and it really threw me how much the books and caina had changed since Kylon reappeared. she's been going through a tough time in exile and she has gotten reckless but looking back she has always been reckless and damn it works! she reminds me so much of batman and i love it. but with kylon as the new love interest it seems as though he stepped into the role of protector and she into the role of damsel who needs to be saved from herself. it's like an ongoing joke, take a drink when caina volunteers to die for everyone. you mentioned the turmoil caina would go through from the beginning and it seems like she is getting more solid and grounded, i really hope so as I miss caina and i love this series. for gods sake she hasnt even tried to kill callatus or steal the star! and it took her 3 books to figure out what the star of iramis was even though she remarks it looks like a star when she first sees it! anway thanks for bearing with my rant, i do love your books and will wait breathless for the next

Jonathan Moeller Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you liked the books.

Caina's still pretty young - I think (if my math is right) by the end of GHOST IN THE THRONE she's only 24 or 25. So lots of room for growth yet!

Ijka that's true, i forget as she is always so mature. im just nitpicking, caina is one of my all time favourite top 5 heroes.
