Why I Write
Hello! Many times when I'm at book events, people ask me what made me start writing. Great question! I always tell them the same thing.
I've loved writing since I was a little girl. Being able to tell a story on paper is one of my favorite things to do. I remember how it felt to read a story, form what I think the characters look like in my mind, and go on their journey with them. There is no feeling like that in the world. I also remember every lesson I learned when reading as a child.
So now that I'm a grownup, I want to give a child that experience. I want them to go on the journey with my Poochton Pups and learn wonderful lessons with my characters. Each book I write has a theme to instill a valuable lesson within a child. I honestly believe it's easier to train a child whether than fixing an adult. By sowing values in children while their young, we can help them grow into wholesome adults.
God gave me a gift and I'm going to share it with children and their families. Once they finish my stories, they will understand why I write.
